Join Me in the Pines
Bell X1 guitarist David Geraghty’s third solo album sees him operating under a band name for the first time, but the cut of the Kildare man’s jib remains low- key and laid-back. There is much to admire here, from the soft accordion wheeze of opening track Mezzanine through to the tumbling folk-pop of Joy Is a Lion and the sombre slow-drip of Golden Guilt. Geraghty’s soulful voice is suited to the mainly acoustic framework of this collection.
